Beware! Planned Parenthood Is NOT What They Would Have Us Believe They Are.

Planned Parenthood billed themselves as "healthcare" clinics for "women and girls in need." Among other things, they are the largest provider of abortions in the US--approximately 5,900 abortions per week! Don't believe in abortion? Well, you are funding it anyway with your Federal and State Tax dollars. Federal dollars provide over three million dollars per year. Tennessee State taxes provide in access of one million dollars each year. Want to know more? Planned Parenthood reports 1 BILLION dollars in Profit in 2005-2006.  They did 264,943 Abortions.  They made "0" Referrals for Adoption in the same time frame.  Does this sound like a "health clinic" operation to you ?  You can help stop the flow of Federal Tax dollars (that's your money and mine) supporting them (in excess of $300 MILLION per year). Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana(R) is sponsoring a bill to cut off this funding. Grassfire.org Alliance has launched a national petition to call for and end  to the federal funding of PPFA and the abortion agenda, as well as a closer investigative look into practices and procedures of PPFA; indictments over illegal late-term abortions, and word of involvement in a baby body parts operation to fulfil "research" orders. Be Aware when giving Time/ Money to various groups, charities, organizations,etc.  Many have very worthwhile Basic goals but also give Grants, donations to Planned Parenthood.  ANY money given to them ,  (PPFA)  is money they do not have to spend to further their agenda and increases their Profit eventhough they are a "not for profit" organization.

Scientist Create Embryonic Skin Cells in Mice Without Destroying Embryos: Scientists say they have created the equivalent of embryonic stem cells using mice skin cells. If done in humans it could lead to obtaining the embryonic cells without killing days-old unborn children. This research is preliminary and has only been established in mice so far, but it represents the kind of ethical alternative sources for embryonic-like stem cells that pro-life advocates support. Adult Stem Cells Show Promise in Diabetes Treatment: Researchers taking two different approaches to the treatment of diabetes demonstrated that adult stem cells may successfully cure the disease. In one study, 15 patients recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes received stem cells from their own bodies. The treatment was successful in 13 of the 15 patients. They have not needed insulin injections since, with one patient being injection-free for 3 years. The 2nd study showed that umbilical cord-stem cells can be turned into insulin-producing cells. The safest place in the world for a human being should be in the womb. But it's not necessarily so. Here in Sevier County, at the Women's Care Center (WCC), they believe  that every woman has the right to be given the whole truth about abortion AND the alternatives that are available.  The obstacles that  prevent a woman from loving her unborn child are temporary and changeable, but abortion is permanent and irreversible. Women come to the Center for many different reasons: free pregnancy tests, maternity clothes, baby items ,counseling. Others come for help in making a decision about abortion.  Every day God performs miracles. We  never cease to be amazed.  Yet each new day is a huge step of Faith. Faith that the Lord will continue to provide for the financial and physical needs of the Center as well as each woman who walks thru the door. As the community grows, so do the Center's needs.  If you or someone you know is in need of their help, pl ease stop by or call them.  If you can be of help-either financially or with volunteer time,  Please  stop by and talk to them.  They would greatly appreciate it.  God Bless.
